Impatient With God?
When are you impatient with God? What are you waiting on God for? I definitely get impatient with Him when I am pursuing something that I believe He has opened the door for, and it doesn’t pan out! Generally, when things don’t go as I thought they should or would.
We all make silent or sometimes verbal agreements or contracts with God, ourselves and others. For example, when I do something good FOR God, I have a one-way contract saying that good things should come back to me. When I think about it, I actually do believe or live with a Karma-esque God view. If I do or don’t do X, Y, or Z, then you’ll do what I want. And vise versa, if I blow it by doing X, Y, or Z, then God, you have the right to withhold good things from me. AM I ALONE in this?
These kinds of contracts become the soil for my discontent and impatience with GOD. I know I say it all the time, but it comes down to that whole WITH God vs FOR God concept. Put this to the test this week.
Jesus came to be WITH us and remains WITH us in the midst of it all. EMANUEL-GOD WITH US!
The Spirit of God is groaning on our behalf...God is working in all things for our good...through this process He is making us more like Jesus...If our God is for us, then who can be against us...and to top it all off, NOTHING, no nothing can separate or stop the powerful and unrelenting love of God toward us! MIC DROP.
